Created from a rustic teak Javanese joglo, Studio One originates from a village near Prambanan Temple in Yogyakarta. It was lovingly restored in Lombok by the owners, Mark and Sopan, and is now a guesthouse within our one-hectare, landscaped family compound. The joglo comes complete with antique Javanese furniture, bespoke fittings and local handicrafts.
During a stay at Studio One you’ll find magnificent views of the ocean and surrounding jungle. There’s a pool that is shared between the 3 villas, a BBQ area and natural gardens, complete with trampoline.

Book nowStudio One has one double bedroom with air conditioning and one twin bedroom (or double) with a fan; each bed is surrounded by romantic kelambu netting. A large family bathroom is shared between the two bedrooms.
We also have an extra fold out single bed and a baby cot that can be set up for additional guests (subject to availability). Let us know if you require either of these at time of booking.
The kitchen comes complete with everything you need to cook at home, this is ideal for those on extended trips and families looking to have the option of home cooked food. Our on-site staff can prepare beautiful home cooked meals from our kitchen which will be delivered to your door. These can be pre-ordered from the menu. Nutritious breakfasts are provided, and other meals can be ordered in advance. Enjoy fresh eggs and fruit from the garden, in season.
Meals can be enjoyed at the dining table or on the terrace surrounded by views of the garden and ocean.
A spacious open plan lounge with the ability to open all doors to the terrace so you can effortlessly move between the indoor and outdoor living space.
Our lounge comes complete with comfortable sofas, and armchairs and flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Free internet is available throughout the complex.
Our large garden has been planted with ornamentals and fruit trees. Patches of scrub and pagoda flowers attract butterflies, flowering acacias, fragrant frangipani, coconut palms and a range of local trees and shrubs attract a variety of birds.
Kids get to enjoy plenty of space for running in, hide-and-seek, ball games, lots of trees great for climbing, and a trampoline. We have a BBQ area, and grill-your-own-food packages are available. As well as a massage pavilion, with option to hire in a masseuse.
A large infinity pool, shared between our 3 villas, can be found on Villa Laras’ grounds, it’s perfect for diving and laps set amongst our unspoilt tropical garden with surrounding views. In addition, you’ll find a smaller one-metre deep, partially shaded kids pool, complete with fern garden and mini waterfall to play under, and seating area for Mum and Dad.
The serenity of The Studio leaves a mark on you, it is a lush green environment with hills to explore and valleys to wander. Located close to Senggigi and Mataram, it gives you a perfect location to explore both magnificent beaches and city.

We were so well looked after by Saluhl and the other staff, views were lovely, pool great, and travel to town easily arranged. We would definitely recommend the Studio and the 2 other villas for a lovely family holiday with a splash of luxury.

Based on the traditional Javanese limasan form, incorporating antique carved teak panels and contemporary features, our 4-bedroom villa, just outside of Senggigi, can accommodate up to 9 guests and we can provide a fold out bed for 1 extra guest.
